• Before I start my rant about missing essential features and other grips about Kubio let me start with the first absolute deal breaker. They pushed an update entirely breaking the builder for all my wordpress instances. I’m a Kubio pro user and with update 2.5.0 the builder didn’t open anymore with some errors of undefined variables in their code. Pushing untested garbage code to master is one thing. Not allowing a smooth downgrade experience for your users is another. This is completely unacceptable for a premium service. the kubio pro instance was completely broken while the free builder still worked. I had no means of downgrading the pro plugin no available downloads in the changelog , nothing. Luckily one of my wordpress instances wasn’t updated yet so ive had to copy over all the files to the other instances. I cannot fathom how something like this gets pushed untested. Ive provided you with email where all errors and logs are displayed.

Furthermore the builder itself misses alot of key functionalities you’d expect from a builder. I’m not the biggest fan of elementor so I figured i’d give Kubio a chance and to be frank ive been nothing but disappointed so far.

The supposed Ai features are useless you might as-well ask chat GPT to generate you some text because thats about all it does.

At this time I would not recommend you use Kubio.

  • Hi @domienf ,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the bad experience you’ve been having with our product.

I can assure you that every update that we push is thoroughly tested for backwards compatibility so it won’t break existing websites. However, there can be particular situations of website configuration or plugin combinations that can result in unwanted behaviour. It’s impossible to test every scenario out there.

You are completely right about the downgrade experience. This is a quite important aspect that we overlooked. To be honest, we never had many issues after updates, so we didn’t see it as an important feature, but that is no excuse for not having a fallback in place. We’re already working on it and we will implement a downgrade mechanism in the near future.

Regarding the missing features of Kubio – we’re always happy to receive feature suggestions from our customers. Please feel free to share your feedback and we will do our best to incorporate it in new updates.

Thank you for your understanding and I apologize again for the inconvenient caused by these issues.

    Best regards,

    Horea Radu

    Co-founder and CEO @ Kubio
