Broken Site! My latest posts are posted on every cat and tag page?!

    I was messing with my index.php and sidebar.php and if/elseif statements for displaying certain sideboxes on certain pages and all of the sudden I noticed that my latest posts feed from my homepage has taken over every category, tag, and even solo post page! I reuploaded the original index and sidebar files multiple times and its still broken???

    Here is a short list of the codes that I was messing with if anyone can figure out what might have happened:

    is_home ()
    is_front_page ()
    index variable: $disableSidebar = true;

    thats really it… I dont see how any of that could have irreversibly effected my site.

    Try re-uploading archive.php.

    Phew! Much <3 esmi! I reuploaded archive and it fixed the tag and category pages so I reuploaded the whole theme folder and all is well again! How did modifying my sidebar file like that effect my whole theme?

    I don’t think that modifying sidebar.php would have caused all of that but you could have ended up with a couple of corrupted files due to something completely different and beyond your control.
