Just installed WordPress 3.6 and now player is not displaying.
Only list of attached files are displayed.
I’m getting the same thing. It just shows the links to the mp3’s as one BIG link and does nothing when clicked on.
Any updates going to take place to fix this?
This is a Jetpack issue, not an issue with my plugin. I take it you both are using Firefox?
Ok then, new bug I guess. Screenshots would help. Thanks.
Here you are the result on my web page:
This bug is for single attached file or filelist.
I get this error on last version of Jetpacj, now with WP 3.6. Same error on WP 3.5.x versions.
[No bumping, thank you.]
This is a JetPack issue. Please read the following carefully (from the WP/Jetpack team). At the end you will find a temp. fix if you choose to use it. Again, my plug-in is simply a shortcode generator, the player is not something I have control over.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/#adding-audio-files-to-your-blog: If your current browser does not support HTML5 audio for your uploaded format, or Flash Player is not installed, a direct download link will be displayed instead of the player.
As for the Flash player, it’s temporarily disabled while we investigate a potential security issue with it.
The browsers’ natively players do not share the same security issue, so as long as you’re viewing an audio file in a browser that supports it, you’ll see a player. If not, you’ll see a download link.
The Flash player will return as soon as we’re confident that the Flash player itself is safe, until then, the folks who are using a browser which does not natively support the embedded format will see a download link instead.
What formats a browser chooses to natively support is entirely up to the browser’s developers, we have no control over that.
Until now, we have given the Flash player precedence, fallen back to the browser’s native player when Flash isn’t available, and then fallen back to the Download link when the format is not supported by the browser.
With the Flash player temporarily disabled for security concerns, we are giving the browser’s native player precedence and falling back to the Download link when the format is not supported by the browser.
Hold the phone. Looks like there are conflicts between the new JetPack and the new WP 3.6 as it pertains to my plugin-in.
But the long and short of it is that my plugin will shortly be obsolete as its features are being rolled in WP Core (the audio player) and playlists (JetPack). For now, try the link above, and stay tuned.
So basically wait until the update takes place? That’s too bad, I really liked your method of the playlist. Much easier to work with especially when one is a little rusty in this field. 🙂
Well, you can roll back to < 3.6 for now. Otherwise, I’ll try to post the edit you’d need to make to JetPack as soon as I have a moment.
