Having the same issue, also on latest version of WP
the plugin only seems to work from the media library
the crop image link doesnt show up when editing image sources from within a post or a page
The plugin totally disappeared from my plugin list and obviously all the editing options with it. I guess this has also something to do with the wordpress 3.9.2. update. I tried (re)installing it but wordpress mentions it’s impossible because the plugin is already in my directory list.
Any solution for this?
Any other plugin that you suggest as an alternative?

I just found that the error happen on template with hard crop image with one of the 2 dimensions missing :
add_image_size( ‘custom-size’, 200, ”, true );
Is there any solution ?
Maybe automatically keeping the image ratio ?

I can access this on wp4 but only via the “crop featured image” link so I can only work with featured images. Also when it does show up the interface looks buggy, see http://twizzlebirdcdn.s3.amazonaws.com/image-crop-bug.jpg
After examining the javascript errors, I realised that the errors were coming from the language files (unescaped characters for french). I edited the the po file and regenerated the mo file and it seems to work fine again. Tested under wp 3.9.2
Any solutions for this plugin?
