Since the update nootrix.com is broken:
-The menus became a mess : no more hierarchies, some turn empty, and all are inactive (no action upon click). An attempt to rebuild them lead either to inactive items or worse empty items.

-I cannot set up featured images any more. Displaying the media library does not display image thumbnails. I get the same gray generic icon for all of them. Selecting an image I can see its name, but the dropdown with the size is missing.

I tried inserting an image into a post. I get only a link to the image (clicking on the link displays the image).

    Things I tried without success:
    -Disabling all plugins
    -Changing the theme
    -Empty my browser cache

    Any hint?

    Thanks

  • Same issue here, displaying the media library does not display image thumbnails or in featured image area. This cause after update to 4.2.1. Any fix?

EDIT: I found my issue, I reverted to WordPress default theme twenty four and my media library is working now.

Does not work for me. I reverted to twenty fourteen them, inactivated all plugins, re-installed 4.2.1, but still having the same issue 🙁

I tried to insert an image into a post, and I noticed that the src attribute of the html tag is empty:

    <a href="http://nootrix.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/terminatorLike3DPrinting.png"><img src="" alt="terminatorLike3DPrinting" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-4083" /></a>

Finally found the root cause. There was a broken table in the database. Repairing it using phpmyadmin fixed all problems I had been encountering 🙂

Great but mine is not working via repair 🙁

Check the error.log file in your wp-admin folder. If it’s too big (mine was more than 1GB), just delete it and try to access to broken parts of your site, it will recreate the file with the most recurrent error messages.
