Keep getting locked out of our site.

Simple math problems like 6+6 and putting in 12 or 4-1 and putting in 3 say

“ERROR: Your answer was incorrect – please try again.”

Reset that password, same problem. When we deactivate the security plugin all is fine.

We have the latest build of the plugin.

    Any ideas?

Flushed the host cache. See we had this same issue on June 10th of last year.

Tried your reset plugin here but when I follow your steps to go to the Settings it just says…

Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

Hi, which reset steps did you follow?

    Thank you

The ones on the reset plugin page. Step by step.

I gave up and did a manual deletion from the database.

This is the second time this has happened on a site since June.

Not sure the condition but the math logic problem won’t work at all and it seems uninstalling and manual removal is the only fix, the NOT using the math problem.

Apparently Google Recaptcha has now gone enterprise or quote based and is insanely complicated so can’t use that as an alternative.

    Hi,

This is the second time this has happened on a site since June.

Did you carry out any updates in your site during this incident? Could there be a conflict with one of your other plugins or theme? Do you have any caching system running in your site or server?

    Thank you

No updates. Just like last time. I went back to the site after maybe two weeks or so and the math problem always failed.

The only way to get in was to FTP and change the plugin folder name.

I tried clearing the caches and everything, but it basically forces you to delete the plugin and then do the tricky manual database removal of all aiowps references. The first tim eI did that something got corrupt and I had to do a db restore.

So I have no idea why a site dormant for two weeks without any manual updates would kill the math problem. I also do not run any automated plugin updates.

    Hi,

This issue might be related to your theme. Have you tried to test one of WordPress default themes, like Twenty Nineteen? Another option you can carry out is to do a health check in Tools or use the following plugin to assist you.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

Let me know how you go.

    Thank you

I guess I’ll try a different theme if it happens again. This was on Divi, pretty popular.

But like I said (like in June) I had to painfully remove everything with AIOWPS and reinstall. Even the AIOWPS removal plugin didn’t work saying “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Thanks.

Let me know what happens when you test one of WordPress default themes.

    Thank you

Same issue on theme X from theme.co. As a workaround, I disabled the comments maths captcha insertion within WP Security.

How to solve this bug permanently though?
I have installed the health check plugin.
I had some minor issues but that were not related to WP Security or this captcha issue.

    What should I do next?

@hlfh, please start a new support thread.
