Broken link checker making site too slow

    I’m having the same issue, I’ve tried it on my sites I’ve had for awhile so they have lots of links and it bring the site to a crawl. On my newer site with very little links, it works just fine.

    Any way to slow it down for sites with lots of post?

    Same issue here it seems after the update from 1.8 to 1.8.2. I had to disable it after I was constantly getting loads above 100

    Yes, same issue here. After I disabled the broken link checker my page load time 3.5 seconds but after activated my page load time 4.8 seconds.
