Support » Plugin: Meow Lightbox » Broken JSON output

  • Activating Meow Lightbox breaks the API output at /wp-json/wp/v2/media – easier to diagnose from a single image at /wp-json/wp/v2/media/<id>

The content in the rendered description (ie. "description":{"rendered":"HERE"}) stops being valid JSON, somewhere in the srcset section. It looks like an escaping issue.

The changes described in https://wordpress.org/support/topic/for-broken-html-other-issues/ don’t help.

    Hi,

Normally, the Meow Lightbox shouldn’t be active at all for the JSON API. The problem occurs in the is_rest function (in the mwl_core.php file). In your install, somehow, the function returns false, while it should return true.

Could you have a look at it?
