    Right now I am running a wordpress network with around 300 blogs. All except the main blogs images are broken. They upload to the correct folder in blog.dir but they do not show up. I am able to see images on the main site but that is all. Here is my .htaccess file

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /

    #uploaded files
    RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
    RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-includes/ms-files.php?file=$2 [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
    RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule . - [L]
    RewriteRule  ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
    RewriteRule  ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    <Files async-upload.php>
    SecFilterEngine Off
    SecFilterScanPOST Off
    </Files>
    </IfModule>

    Any one have any ideas?

    I disabled all of my plug-ins also. I have no luck though.

    When did this start happening?

    After the upgrade to 3.0.3.

    What version did you upgrade FROM? There were, literally, less than 10 files changed from 3.0.1 to 3.0.4, so I’m really surprised…

    Can you try making a post off your main blog and see if images show up there?

    ETA: Okay, looked at your helloworld where there’s an image

    http://blogs.wws.k12.in.us/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Winter.jpg works

    http://blogs.wws.k12.in.us/files/2010/12/Winter.jpg does NOT

    Did you ever do a manual update? Delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folders and copy them back up?

    no I have not tried a manual update. i will give it a try. everything is no white.

    After the Manual update. I get server error 500. I have.

    scherschels

    (@scherschels)

    500 error fixed but everything is now white only.

    scherschels

    (@scherschels)

    Ok after fixing a couple thing everything is back to where we were with No images showing up.

    Ok here is where I am at… In my wp_config file the only way I can access wp-admin is to have `define( ‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 0); I can Upload photos and view the like normal on my “1” blog. Hope this helps.

    What happens if you comment out the whole line?

    I have same problem on sub-sites’ images.
    All images stored in “/blogs.dir/” are not shown on Media Library and web pages.
    Anybody found the answer?

    I added a second super admin and that allowed me to keep the “1” in there. Images and videos are still not showing up. I am able to access the mp3’s pdf’s and powerpoints on there.

    Do you have any sort of hotline protection turned on for your server?

    scherschels

    (@scherschels)

    I don’t think so. Images showed up 3 weeks ago, and if I do it would have been running then

    This is really strange but when I take out define ( 'MULTISITE', true ); and define ( 'WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true ); Images show up and everything works great
