   Now the icons on my site are broken. Any help appreciated! Thanks

 * Hi [@hiisudo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hiisudo/),
 * Thank you for contacting us.
 * Sorry to hear your icons are being affected. I do see there is a mixed content
   error for the font modules, which may affect the font file icon is using. Nevertheless,
   please make sure you have cleared Asset Optimization and Page Caching and recheck.
 * In case the issue persists, please try to revert the change on Asset Optimization
   and verify if the icons are shown again.
 * Best,
    Jonathan S

 * Hi Jonathan,
 * Thanks for getting back to me!
 * I clicked ‘Clear Cache’ within the Asset optimisation panel, cleared my cache
   on my browser, it momentarily broke the site completely, but now the icons seem
   to be working!

 * However, the global footer template is broken on only one page?

 * Any ideas?

 * Hello [@hiisudo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hiisudo/)
 * It is normal when resetting Asset Optimization to see some glitches for a short
   time, as the background procedures are rebuilding the assets.
 * It seems that you are also using Page Cache, can you try to clear these caches
   as well?

 * Hi Dimitris,
 * Thanks for your reply!
 * I’m keen to get this fixed as need to send this password protected page to a
   client today.
    I’ve cleared the cache under “caching’ as instructed. No changes
   my end yet and also my icons appear to be broken again.
 * Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do to fix this issue.
 * Many thanks,
    Rebekah

 * Hi [@hiisudo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hiisudo/)
 * If clearing caches doesn’t help, that usually means that Asset Optimization needs
   some additional tweaking. It’s either about excluding some CSS/JS assets from
   optimization entirely or “fine-tuning” optimization options in “manual” mode.
 * However, I see that currently site seems to be loading fine and Asset Optimization
   looks to be disabled. I understand that you’d rather avoid keeping the live site“
   broken” for longer but it would really help a lot to be able to see the issue“
   live”.
 * Do you by any chance have any “dev”/”staging” copy of the site ready where you
   could enable Asset Optimization to replicate the issue so we could see it?
 * If yes – would you please share a link to it?
 * Kind regards,
    Adam

 * Hi Adam,
    Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve turned Asset Optimisation back
   on. I’m not sure what’s causing it but its causing my site to break. Here’s a
   screen shot [https://www.dropbox.com/s/7cnpi4ruu734zi5/screencapture-studiosudo-co-uk-2021-04-01-09_35_07%20%281%29.pdf?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/7cnpi4ruu734zi5/screencapture-studiosudo-co-uk-2021-04-01-09_35_07%20%281%29.pdf?dl=0)
   And here’s the Asset Optimisation settings [https://www.dropbox.com/s/vj57g16adxpmriv/screencapture-studiosudo-co-uk-wp-admin-admin-php-2021-04-01-09_41_16.pdf?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/vj57g16adxpmriv/screencapture-studiosudo-co-uk-wp-admin-admin-php-2021-04-01-09_41_16.pdf?dl=0)
 * And no, sadly I don’t have staging for this site.
 * I think I’ll turn Asset Optimisation off if I can’t get it to stop breaking 😅
 * Thanks,
    Bekah

 * Hi [@hiisudo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hiisudo/),
 * From the given screenshot it seems like you are using the “**Manual**” mode in
   Asset Optimization, but could notice none of the files is tweaked further in “**
   Manual**” mode.
 * If what you have shared in the screenshot is the current setting in “**Manual**”
   mode then it would be much better to switch to “**Automatic**” mode instead of“**
   Manual**” mode as it would help with compressing and combining the files automatically.
 * Could you please check whether you could replicate the issue with the “Automatic”
   mode enabled?
 * If you are looking to tweak further with “Manual” mode enabled, then please check
   the following articles on how to move forward regarding this:

 * Hi Nithin,
 * Thanks for your reply!
 * I’ve switched to Automatic and checked the front end but it’s still broken.

 * Hi there [@hiisudo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hiisudo/)
 * I tried hard to break my test site with Divi & Hummingbird, but failed. 🙂
 * Please follow these step to ensure things work as expected on your site as well:
 * Ensure that there are no other file optimization or page cache plugins active
   on your site, including cache plugins provided by your host (if any). I see you’re
   hosting with Dreamhost, so this guide might be handy for that: [https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/215300647-Managing-the-DreamPress-cache](https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/215300647-Managing-the-DreamPress-cache)
 * In **Divi > Theme Options**, ensure the theme performance options are both enabled:**
   Minify And Combine Javascript Files** and **Minify And Combine CSS Files**.
 * Then go to **Hummingbird > Asset Optimization** and run the **Re-Check Files**
   option to ensure the plugin sees & optimizes the current set of active files
   on your site.
 * Once that has completed, ensure you’re in **Automatic** mode with the **Speedy**
   option selected.
 * Finally, go to **Hummingbird > Dashboard **and click the **Clear Cache** button
   to clear all active plugin caches.
 * Now check your site in an incognito/private window; it should display as expected.
   If you still see the site broken in your usual browser, that would likely be
   local browser cache that you’d want to clear as well.
 * Please do let us know if this helps or if you still need assistance with this.
 * Cheers!
    Patrick

 * Hi [@hiisudo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hiisudo/),
 * I gave a quick check but it doesn’t seem like Hummingbird is causing the issue
   when I check the website. I could notice the same behaviour when I try to access
   the website by adding the /?avoid-modify=true URL to it.
 * Adding the above parameter will load the site by excluding Asset Optimization.
   Could you please quickly check by deactivating Asset Optimization under **Hummingbird
   > Asset Optimization > Settings > Deactivate** and see whether you still see
   the same issue?
 * Could you also check whether clearing the static File generation under the Divi
   theme, ie “Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced > Static CSS File Generation”
   makes any difference or not?
