• Hello Simon,

if your Flexicache is installed, and wordpress is installed in a subdirectory of the root path (eg. http://www.server.com/blog/…), then standalone mode will not work: it expects the htaccess modifications in root (www.server.com/.htaccess). But that is an error: the root path may belong to a different installation, so the htaccess will not affect the path /blog AND will crash the root installation AND the „insert automatically“ from flexicaches’ backend will not work..

    Any updates in sight?

    Hi Jan,

    Thanks for your feedback.

    The plugin page (http://[your.website.com]/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=flexicache&section=standalone
) recommends that you make the .htaccess change manually rather than use the automatic updater, due to the number of variations of what that file may contain and where it may be, there is no guarantee that it will work as expected, and could easily break your site.

Unfortunately I cannot make a version of the automatic updater which will work on every different installation as there really are infinite possibilities 🙂

Try making a manual change and see if that works.

    Thanks,

    Si.
