# Broken excerpts

 * Excerpts of posts are broken for unicode strings. There are “�” symbols in the
   ends of all excrepts for non-english text.
 * This issue should be corrected by replace the function `substr` to its multibyte
   version `mb_substr` in the function `accesspresslite_excerpt` (inc/extras.php,
   340)

 * I had this problem too, as i’m using French, so é,è,à, and so on sometimes, and
   also had a few cases which i had strange behaviour of the text by using romaji(
   japanese roman alphabet) which is also using accents on voyels, like ō for example.
   I tried changing the font, but i didn’t observe any changement.
