# Broken Editor

 * Hey,
 * For a long time I have had an Amzon Store theme on my site, now I changed it 
   and I have the post/page editor like broken. Button don’t work, it freezes when
   I want to do something and it looks like this:

 * I’ve tried tricks from this post [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/visual-editor-not-working-after-upgrade-to-40?replies=49](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/visual-editor-not-working-after-upgrade-to-40?replies=49)
   but they didn’t work.
 * Maby there is some file or files / lines of code responsible for this, so I could
   replace them? Maby any other methods?

 * Try [downloading WordPress](https://wordpress.org/download/) again, access your
   server via [SFTP or FTP](https://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients), or a file 
   manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your
   copies of everything on the server **except** the `wp-config.php` file and the`/
   wp-content/` directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively
   replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.
 * Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget 
   to delete the original files before replacing them.

 * But I’m having right now another problem:
 * Every post or page shows the error:
 * Not Found
 * The requested URL /about-ultimate-luxury-watches was not found on this server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
 * How can I fix this?

 * Try re-saving your permalink structure at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel.
   If WordPress cannot automatically edit the `.htaccess` file, it will provide 
   manual instructions after saving.

 * Yes – that was it. I updated the permalinks settings and it worked.
 * Will the Google XML Sitemaps plugin generate a new sitemap?
