 * just updated to 2.3.1 and not happy again. The settings are changed. I use the
shortcodes to insert adsense in specific places on my website. After the update
ads were set to show at top of post. Not only is this not what I want – it is
also against Google terms (the ad is 360 box) – this can lead to a ban!!
    It
is now the second time this has happened. Last one after ver (2 i think) – I
didn’t notice for 10 days and lost several hundred dollars.
 * Do you understand that we use this plugin to make money? It is not good to change
settings in updates without warning that this happens. People go in and update
multiple sites and assume everything will be as before.
    This is too frustrating
to keep using a plugin that ultimately loses money and time.

 * Hi acisni,
Could you please provide us steps to reproduce the problem? The last
version doesn’t get settings from the previous one, so you need to put them again.
We will fix a feature which keeps settings from previous versions. Old versions
before v2.0 had the same behavior – they didn’t keep settings after an update.
The difference is that we started to update Quickadsense more often.

 * The problem is simply creating an update which does not keep the settings and
not making us aware that this will happen. I run dozens of wordpress websites
and like most users go in and update plugins routinely. If I am not aware that
major changes will occur to my settings this causes major issues.
 * If I update a social sharing plugin I do not expect to have to go in and change
   all my settings again.
 * Your plugin involves making money – the results of changes are huge to the website
owner. If you are making changes that effect the main settings you need to notify
the user – even as a common courtesy. Surely you can see this!
 * This latest update set my websites to show ad block 1 “before content” (without
my knowledge) and changed the settings to “only show on pages” Not including “
posts”. No other adblocks were set to show. For me this would have lead to getting
my adsense account banned under current Google guidelines.
 * The previous main update set my ads to Not show at all. I did not notice it at
the time and only discovered it when I checked my adsense earnings – I lost around
$300 revenue in a 10 day period. All because you change the original settings
and do not warn us before updating.
 * I hope this is clear to you now. For these reasons your plugin is not worth the
risk involved for me and I have removed it from all websites. Plugin owners must
think beyond just the technical aspects of their plugins. They need to understand
how people use them and maintain their websites – and understand the repurcussions
   when things go wrong.
 * Thanks for a plugin that worked well for me for several years … until recently.
And good luck for the future.

 * Sorry for any inconvenience. Our future updates will not have this issue.

 * Hi,
Please, check if everything is enabled on Settings->Quickadsense menu. If
it doesn’t help, please, send us (to [support@quickadsense.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/broken-again-6/support@quickadsense.com?output_format=md))
screenshots of Quickadsense settings and a link to a page where ads do not show
   up.
