    Hi,

I installed the latest version of NextGen Gallery, 2.1.23. Now my upload images pages is broken. I can’t upload images.

I checked to see if another them would fix the problem, but the problem persists. I reinstalled an earlier version of NexGen from a backup and the problem persists. I think the problem is NextGen but I can’t be sure.

The galleries are working properly on the pages.

    What to do. Any ideas?

@shawjoejgmailcom – There could be a plugin conflict going on here or at least it should be ruled out. Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

@shawjoej – Thanks for the follow-up … please let the author of that plugin know so they can review your findings and hopefully correct their code as needed.

I have the same problem. I installed WordPress 4.4.1 and the latest version of the plugin (2.1.23) and the plugin does not let me add images in the gallery (using Add Gallery/Images) (saying error message “Upload Images
Your browser doesn’t have Silverlight, HTML5, or HTML4 support.”

This has occurred before for many people using this plugin in the support forum (when 2.0 was released, for instance).

Not sure why this occurs? Please help

I have tried the above (deactivated all plugins) and it still does not work.

    Please help.
How do I ensure I have cleaned out the cache? Where do I do that? Where do I check?

I have tried latest version of IE and Mozilla Firefox and also Edge browser on Windows 10 and they all report the same message saying I do not have Silverlight. I have checked Add-ons in IE and I do have Silverlight enabled.
I also have Shockwave Flash and I disabled it and checked again and it still does not work. I have now re-enabled it.

    This is quite frustrating.

I cannot load any images into the Nextgen gallery.

Please provide a solution for me.

    Thanks
