• Update:
Wow. The customer support was very fast. Once I purchased the pro version, I was able to do everything I needed to do. Love this plugin!

    Original review:
I really wanted to give this plugin 5 stars as for the most part, it seems to have functioned as intended. However, there is a bug with the “percentage discount”. I had set it so that a 50% discount is applied on one item when a customer orders two items that are similar in nature. It works, but the problem is that the coupon automatically takes 50% off from the highest costing item. Example: Customer orders a cheese pizza ($10) and a supreme ($20). Instead of applying a $5 discount, the coupon code will give the customer $10 off. I’m not sure if this is a restriction of the non-paid version, but if it is, I don’t think it should be provided as an option at all for the free version if it’s behaving this way. I had already implemented the plugin without being aware of this behavior and as a result, my client had to honor some pretty expensive orders.

The plugin is not broken. It is working exactly as expected. Who claims that cheapest items are discounted first?

WooCommerce orders cart items by price so coupon logic is ‘fair’ for customers and not based on order added to cart. If you want to change this order, you can use the WooCommerce filter woocommerce_sort_by_subtotal_callback for that.

Why do you leave a bad review instead of asking help on the support forum? We’re here to help…

Sorry about that. I’m pretty new to a lot of this. Didn’t realize I could post on a support forum. I actually went ahead and purchased the PRO version. However, I can’t find the “woocommerce_sort_by_subtotal_callback” anywhere. Am I missing something? Thank you. (will change review)

If you have the PRO version, look for option ‘Limit discount to’ on the usage limits tab. Here you can choose to discount the cheapest item, or every nth item (every 2nd pizza).

If you have further questions, please use the support forum at soft79.nl.

PS: make sure you uninstall the free version when you have the PRO version.
