• Hi, this was all beautiful and working great until I installed my SSL certificate. Everything went to hell after that. Nothing shows up with either widgets or shortcodes. Note that I am not using “display counts”, I have that set to “no”. I just have the icons with a link to each social media page. Thank you so much!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Thanks for reaching out. How did you select to show the icons (under question 3 in the plugin)?

Hey thanks! I’m using both widget and shortcode.

It’s hard to say what went wrong, however could you please try to delete the plugin and install it again?

Note: I found a workaround. In case this is useful I’m keeping the entire text I wrote before I found it. Note, at the bottom there is still one issue unresolved.

    ———-Before Workaround————-
Sorry, I should have given you more info. You can see it not working on https://flambeaucreations.com/contact/, under where it says “Find me on social media”, the shortcode is right under there. Also at the bottom of the page, in the middle white “About Me” block, the social media buttons were there. I tried both shortcode and widget in this spot. Everything was fine before SSL, disappeared after SSL. In the footer, right now I placed the widget, with the title, so you can see where it goes. The widget title shows up but not the icons. Viewing code, they are actually there, with width=0, height=0. This was not something I specified anywhere, it just happened upon installing the SSL cert. I also can’t find where I can change this. Possibly related – in the dashboard, in your settings, I have Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Custom. However, later down in #6 where you can drag and drop the icons in order, Facebook is not appearing. Before SSL they were all there. Thanks again!

    ———–After Workaround———–
When I realized everything was width=0, height=0, I went and specified the width and height specifically in #6 in the admin. Three of the 4 missing icons reappeared. Before SSL it wasn’t necessary to specify this.

    ———-Continuing Issue———–
Facebook is still not showing up, either on the front end or on #6 in your settings, although it’s configured in #1 and #2.

    Thanks so much.

Sorry, we were writing at the same time! I will delete and reinstall and report back.

Ok, deleted and reinstalled. Same issue as described above (all resolved except facebook). Thanks. :o)

Hm that’s very strange. At this point we would need access to your site but we’re not allowed to ask for it as part of these forums. We can do it if you get this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/. It also has many other fancy features as you can see, and a proper Etsy icon 🙂
