• UPDATE (Nov 25, 2014): The developer responded quickly to the glitch and fixed it right away. Just installed the plugin again and it works perfectly. Ran a test and it automatically added the new affiliate registration to my specific MailChimp list.

    Works as stated. Highly recommended.

    {First review: I was very excited to use this plugin with AffiliateWP to automate new affiliate subscriptions but it broke my theme and I couldn’t log into the dashboard.To regain control, I had to manually delete the plugin file from File Manager inside of Control Panel. Disappointed – but hopeful they will fix the problem. Very impressed with the core AffiliateWP plugin.}

  • Hey Bryan,

    Pippin here from AffiliateWP.

Did you try and contact the author of this add-on? We have never seen any reports of a problem like this, so it is probably due to an uncommon conflict with your theme or server configuration.

    Hi Bryan,

Am the plugin author, this is strange for the plugin to break your theme.

    What theme are you using?
Will like to troubleshoot this further and fix the problem if it is the plugin that is causing the issue.

    Will be expecting your reply.

    Cheers.

This is very nice post thanks!

Hey Pippin – I sent a ticket through AffiliateWP early yesterday but didn’t hear back. I didn’t contact the developer, except through the review. In retrospect, maybe I should have done that first…

Tunbosun – I’m using Thesis 2.1.9 on WordPress 4.0. I’m using Inspire skin by http://icustomizethesis.com/thesis-skin/inspire/

I should clarify – the plugin didn’t break the front end of the theme. It crashed the dashboard so I couldn’t access or correct anything. I had to delete the plugin folder manually.

    This is the error message:

Fatal error: Class ‘Drewm\MailChimp’ not found in /home/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/affiliatewp-mailchimp-add-on/affiliatewp-mailchimp-addon.php on line 476

Hopefully the error can be fixed – I would love to use the plugin and adjust the rating!

    Thanks!

@bryanhaines I’ll check that it was answered for you and will answer if not. We ask for at least 24 hours for response times. Note: issues with 3rd party plugins should always be raised with the developer of the plugin.

My guess is that the problem is due to another MailChimp plugin being installed that is conflicting or a non-supported version of PHP being installed on your site.

Just installed 1.0.5 and it works great!

The site isn’t affected like before – and the plugin automatically adds subscribers to the mailchimp list.

    Thanks so much!

(I’m going to try to adjust the rating on the plugin now).
