Breaks too may things

    I like the concept of Gutenberg, but I have a raft of tools I use on a daily basis to make creating my websites effective. These are mainly plugins that no longer function.

    For example, I use categories extensively and have a plug-in that allows me to rapidly filter the hundreds of categories that exist on my sites and select the right one. This no longer functions, all I get is a long list of categories extending for miles down the right-hand side.

    I have another that allows me to change the page type (e.g. from Post to Page) again the functionality has disappeared.

    Afraid I went back to classic within 2 minutes.

    @lorddunvegan first, thanks for reviewing. Secondly, I would love to dig into what the plugin you use is that isn’t working for categories and also for page type. Would be great to if you can report these as issues to see if something that needs fixing in the plugins or Gutenberg.     Hi Tammie

    The plugins I use to manage Categories are:
    * Better Categories – which gives a manageable list of categories with subcategories hidden until expanded.
    * Category to Pages WUD – which gives me the same categories for Pages as well as Posts.
    * Post Category Filter – which allows me to Filter Categories in order to quickly find and select them
