• Part of my site was broken temporarily by this plugin — it caused a key dashboard menu item (the theme options menu for the Builder theme that I use) to disappear. This caused some panic on my part, and it took me a while to track down the source of the problem. Kudos to the author for providing a quick response after I posted an item on the support forum. The fix was simple (deleting and re-installing the plugin) and worked. But the erratic behavior gives me some pause to keep using this plugin.

Eight minutes. That’s the amount of time between your request for support here:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/dashboard-menu-disappears?
    and your bad review.
But this plugin doesn’t seem to be the only victim of your impatience, since you have done the exact same thing for the following plugins:
    Web invoice
    wp-hover
    Menu Master Custom Widget
    etc.
I guess actions speak louder than reviews.

As noted in my comment on the support forum, I do appreciate your quick response. Apologies for not “following protocol”, but I was a bit shocked when I noticed the menu had disappeared, and it took me a fair amount of time to track down the source of the problem. If there was a way to upgrade my original rating, I would do that. But I don’t see a way to do that, so I’ll try posting another review.

I understand your frustration, but you have to bear in mind this is a 100% free plugin, and yes, it will fail from time to time. What makes this particular plugin trustworthy is that we have (if I may say so myself) outstanding support, so issues will always be fixed and users “cared for”.
As to your rating, WP lets you modify them at will, since they feel it’s a good way to motivate devs and users to reach an understanding in these matters.
    Have a good day.

Yes, I figured out how to change the rating, which I have done, and I also changed the text in the original post. Again, appreciate your responsiveness.

Alrighty — peace. One last thing: I’ve taken on board your initial response and tried to “make amends”. I would appreciate it if you would consider modifying your initial response, too. Yes, I have doled out negative reviews for other plugins. If you look at the ones you mention, those reviews were fully justified, and I was far from alone in making those comments. Thanks.

Sorry guys… just got home from job #2. I’m uploading an update to the WP repo now.

    @linkomatic,

Please let me know if this update resolves your issue.

It’s already resolved. Per Marventus’ suggestion, I simply deleted and re-installed the plugin. Is okay now.

Thank you, kindly. If the issue happens to “creep back” at any point.. please come back here and let us know. We will promptly remedy the situation.

    Thank you!

I’m so glad to see this. Thank you for cordially settling differences . . like gentlemen! I too use the Builder theme and had a similar problem with another plugin which deleted visual editor options. Uninstalling that plugin did not fix it .. and Ithemes (creators of the wonderful Builder theme), and Bluehost could not figure it out.

AFter hours of agony, I found a remote forum suggestion and installed Ultimate Tiny mce .. It actually FIXED my problem… you rescued me. THANK YOU!!! And now I’m thrilled to have these options….. finding you was worth the hassle!!
    Blessings
    B
