    Hey there,
I’m testing the plugin and first results were promising (speed test increasing), would love to even buy the full version if it works properly as I would like to apply it to all the site BUT then I realized once I deactivate a single one script my page does not show properly. the arrows for submenu on the menu disappear also some of the pics. I’m using Elementor and Wp rocket what could be the issue?

right now is deactivated as it’s a problem but as mentioned, would LOVE to fix it as I’m working on the speed results and this seems to help.
    Thanks

@quitoxic I’m glad you like the plugin and hopefully, you’ll be using it in the long term. As for the problem you’re having, if you unload a CSS/JS that is needed, then yes, you will have problems with the way the page loads, so you have to be very careful with that, especially when unloading Elementor CSS/JS. If you’re not sure if it’s needed or not, it’s better to leave it as it is.

I’ve checked your website and there are things that are not needed at least on the homepage and they could save you some time load. For instance, Swiper from Elementor. Here’s how to deactivate it (step by step instructions): https://assetcleanup.com/docs/how-to-unload-swiper-from-elementor/

The following files are also reported by Coverage (Google Chrome) as being unused 100%:
    – /wp-content/plugins/jet-elements/assets/css/jet-elements.css?ver=2.4.1
    – /wp-content/plugins/jet-engine/assets/css/frontend.css?ver=2.5.3
    – /wp-content/plugins/jet-search/assets/css/jet-search.css?ver=2.1.8
    – /wp-content/plugins/tablepress-responsive-tables/css/tablepress-responsive.css?ver=1.7
    – /wp-content/plugins/jet-search/assets/lib/chosen/chosen.min.css?ver=1.8.7
    – /wp-content/themes/hello-elementor/theme.css?ver=2.2.0
    – /wp-content/plugins/tablepress/css/default.css?ver=1.12
    – /wp-content/plugins/xwpml-cms-nav/res/css/cms-navigation-base.css?ver=1.5.0
    – /wp-content/plugins/xwpml-cms-nav/res/css/cms-navigation.css?ver=1.5.0

My suggestion would be to enable the plugin in “Test Mode” so that your visitors won’t be affected by any change and then you can safely unload files (the changes will be visible only for yourself) and if everything is alright, keep the changes, otherwise, load back the files you unloaded (that you thought are not needed). I hope it helps!

Hi, Gabe thanks you for the reply and the advice.
I’m aware of what you mention but the issue is that no matter what I deactivate on the plugin the CSS does not show up properly. I have tried deactivating a single script like google maps and still menu and images simply disappear so I can not use it at the moment until it stops having issues with the site.

Same happens on the test mode.

    Thanks

@quitoxic that’s kind of weird and the problem could be from a different option of the plugin (e.g. something from “Settings). Can you enable the plugin in “Test Mode”? I could do some debugging by skipping it via /?wpacu_skip_test_mode 😉

    Hi Gabe,
Sure, I have activated the plugin and the test mode and deactivated some scrips like the googlemaps and Wp geo which are not needed on that page.

As you will see the arrowss for the submenu dissapear, some images also and the video does not play.

    Thanks for the help

Hey, @gabelivan Any update on this?

@quitoxic I’ve checked your website and when I append /?wpacu_skip_test_mode the arrows from the submenu are showing fine for me. There are errors in the console most likely related to the unloading of WP GEO such as “Uncaught ReferenceError: wpgeo_createIcon is not defined“, but they do not seem to affect the functionality of the page at all. They are likely hardcoded and you need the PRO version to unload them or just leave them like they are if the functionality is fine.

I’ve attached a print screen with the way the menu shows up for me and clearly, the arrows from the menu are showing fine, the same way as when I load the URL without any query strings appended to it (in this case with “Test Mode” enabled and no unloads): https://ibb.co/N9DnXvs

Don’t you see the same thing? I suspect this is not an Asset CleanUp issue.

Hey @gabelivan is the plugin for sure.
As soon as I do not deactivate any script everything goes back to normal. It seems you are seeing a smaller screen version of the site, this happens on the big desktop version, please fin attached the image on how is looking with the test mode. As mentioned as soon as I deactivate it goes back to normal.

As you can see menu is not showing properly, some images dissapear, video on the background (the tuk-tuk image is a replacement image) does not show and also some css seems fucked up as the last post grid shows the titles way to separate from the images.

@quitoxic Perhaps you could test the page in Incognito. As a visitor, it loads fine for me with “Test Mode” skipped. The changes are applied the same way they are applied to you. It looks like FontAwesome is not loading for you. See the latest print screen I’ve attached: https://ibb.co/KyXD58f

If it works fine when you view the https://unpocodesur.com/?wpacu_skip_test_mode page with a different browser (e.g. when you’re not logged in), then I wouldn’t worry about those arrows as apparently, they are not showing only for you (kind of strange). Perhaps there’s a plugin there that is triggering when you’re logged-in and interferes with FontAwesome.

    Oh,
Wait a minute, indeed, in the incognito mode, it works fine. This is odd…
Ok, will continue testing the plugin keeping the incognito thing in mind.
I’m using Wp Rocket but as I see other people too so it’s weird…

Anyway if Çi figure out what could be I’ll let you know.
Thanks, elts see how this works out and hopefully I’ll get it for the full site.
