your latest update 4.2.29 breaks my site/critical error.
Had to deactivate it. A shame as I liked this plugin.

Thanks for flagging the error to us. To help us quickly identify the error and release a fix, can you please provide us the error log?

The administrator of the site should get an email notification of any critical errors that occur, or errors shown on the page. Can you please copy and paste the log, so our team can review and address any issues? Thank you.

    Hi,
ALL OK NOW, when wooCommerce plugin turned off then back on.

Only thing is now there is a pop up with the opening times on it in a box, that used to be along the bottom, if it’s outside the opening hours, it wont close down and let you use the rest of the site.

Thanks for quickly confirming the fatal error was related to WooCommerce not being active and not the latest version of Store Hours Manager. We will consider the report about the fatal error as closed.

Now regarding new pop-up functionalities and behaviors of the plugin. Yes, in this latest version, the plugin was long overdue for a significant update after the original release 4 years ago to include new free and premium based features and settings. For this release and future development of the plugin, we made major changes to the notification behavior, actions and management mode. Including a change from an Alert Bar to Alert Box using the Free version and new settings for triggers to display the time of the notification by Site or Page using the Free version. We understand these changes are different from the previous version. If you decide the plugin is no longer a good fit based upon these changes, we understand and you can easily revert to a previous version, version 4.1.2 from WordPress.org.

For us to continue developing and releasing new freemium and premium features planned on our development roadmap, we needed to make the long overdue development changes. This will also allow us to continue the compatibility support between WordPress and WooCommerce as the frequency of those release occur now. We hope the community can understand and support our efforts to develop and maintain the plugin for the future.

    Hi thanks.
    So to clarify…
if you don’t buy the pro version of the plugin then the hours notification box just reappears every few seconds and can’t be closed down is that it?

Once the closed status notification occurs based upon the by Site or by Page trigger duration. Yes, the dismiss notification is set to 5 seconds in the Free version. Upgrading to the premium version you can manage the dismiss behavior duration and behavioral settings.

ah ok, so the more recent free version is fairly unusable then.

Thank you for sharing that opinion. We humbly disagree, as the plugin still provides a fully functional open and close store schedule functionality, customizable notification and checkout action behaviors. We are sorry to hear you feel this notification behavior change renders it unusable even with all this included functionality for the community.
