I love this idea – count me as another who thinks Jetpack should be hidden from all but the Admins, regardless of whether others can “do” anything with it or not.
However, I’m using the Sidebar Login plugin, and when this Hide Jetpack is enabled it breaks it’s functioning. When you try to log-in with this sidebar plugin, it just “spins” and never goes anywhere. (I have to go back to wp-login.php to access the site.) Once “Hide Jetpack” is disabled, it works again.
Sorry to report this – and it’s not a really big deal – but hopefully Automatic will see the wisdom of hiding this from non-admins! (See me holding my breath?)
I’ll confirm, this plugin block sidebar login. i’ve to refresh the page in order to get logged in.
Try to login here, a test website.

Jetpack oly for admins
You have to refresh the page indeed.
@noryslintas I was able to reproduce the issue on your site, but not on mine. Could you try switching to a different theme for a few minutes, and see if the problems remains?

I don’t want to be rude, and i finish here, but don’t close this topic too, i have a wordpress installatioN! I DON’T HAVE A WORDPRESS.COM ACCOUNT! I NEVER TOLD THIS as you can see in previus topic. Alleluja XD
I’ve installed it on another host (altervista) with both autoinstaller and manual installation.
Here is my configuratio and plugin active:
WordPress version is 3.5.1
Jetpack Only for Admins 1.1
Jetpack Versions 2.2.2
I’ve tried with only infinite scroll and without any jetpack option (only the plugin actived), the loop still persist.
I’ve tried without polylang and any jetpack option, the loop still persist.
I can reproduce the problem on your site, even when Twenty Twelve is active.
At this point, I don’t know what could create this problem. I would suggest that you contact the author of the Sidebar Login plugin and ask them to have a look. They might have an idea of why the login fails. You can point them to this thread.
It seems the problem happens to others as well, and they do not seem to be using Jetpack Only For Admins on their site:
