    hello,

i got some issues concerning the responsive design of a website:

So as standard there are the breakpoints 767 px and 1024 px in elementor.

In the customizer (design–> customizer) i have the main header and also mobile header. The tablet header appears till 1024 px (mobile till 767px). I want to increase that so i tried changing the 1024 px to a greater number like 1280 px. This didn´t work unfortunately. Mobile header only appears till 1024px.

i also don’t know where i can definitively define the resolution up to which the mobile header is displayed. I just created a menu (Design->menu) and made basic settings in the customizer concerning the mobile header.

Maybe the problem is that, the sydney pro theme, which i use overwrites the elementor breakpoint settings?

Another issue concerning this topic is, that when i use the athemes:portfolio (athemes) when i create a site with the elementor, i can adapt the number of columns concerning the responsive design (Desktop, tablet, mobile). I tried 3 columns for desktop, 1 for tablet and 1 for mobile. As i sad concerning the elementor settings the breakpoints are 1024 px and 767 px. However know from 767 px 3 columns are shown (most tablets exceed that, so there are 3 colums, which is not ideal). It seems like the mobile breakpoint is more like 360 px and the tablet breakpoint is like 767px… So for me it seems, that there is like a interference with the sydney pro theme or another plugin? Any ideas how to solve that?

What also is very strange that from 990 px till 1024 the mobile header becomes thicker randomly…

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there,

Here you have full documentation how to create a responosive site – https://elementor.com/blog/responsive-website/

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! Yes I have already found this article and also added some custom css media querrys. But it seems like a little wasteful to add media querries for every responsive adaption. I just don´t get why the breakpoints are not taken over correctly.

    Hi ther,

Unfortunately, this is the behavior of our breakpoints. If you don’t desire to take global settings, you will need to set them yourself.

To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins (besides Elementor and Elementor Pro). If it solves the issue reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme such as Twenty Nineteen and see if it makes any difference.

Also, this could happen due to our Elementor performance experiments you can try to deactivate them. To deactivate them you can go to Elementor > settings > features

Performance features currently in the experimental stage are:

    • Improved CSS Loading – An experiment that only loads the CSS of widgets on a page once, in order to prevent multiple requests to the server. With this experiment, CSS files are loaded as inline style tags.
    • Inline Font Icons – This experiment renders icons as SVGs without loading the Font-Awesome and eicons libraries. Since SVGs are vector-based images which are rendered using the browser’s engine, they do not increase server requests which improves performance

I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

    Kind regards,
