    Hello !

I’m using Yoast Seo breadcrumbs. My main menu is a link to the submenu and not a parent page. So, it does not display this link in the breadcrumb. Instead of having: Home> Link> submenu, I have Home> Sub-menu. Is it possible to change that? To obtain: Home> Link> Sub-menu. The “link” menu would not refer to any page in which case.
If no, could i create parent page just for the breadcrumb and noindex it without hurt my site referencement ? Is there not a risk that Google will not listen to this recommendation and index an empty page?

I searched the forum, but I can not find anything on this topic.

    Thank you 🙂

By default, Yoast SEO follows the child and parent page relationships in order to show the breadcrumb links. So, in order to show the breadcrumb like the way you’re wanting to have Home > Link > Submenu without having the Link page, you can use the wpseo_breadcrumb_links filter. You can find more information about this here.

On the other hand, if you’d like you may create a parent page just for the breadcrumb and noindex it, this may not be the best solution since the page will still link to the breadcrumb path.
