I will open this again. Sorry for the delayed response on the other ticket. I did reply but it does not seem that you are getting the messages after you close it. Will try again:

We are getting errors reported in Search Console for ages like this : /page/6/?page_id=0&action=evregister&event_id=54 saying Either “name” or “item.name” should be specified and Missing field “id”. Breadcrumbs are not enabled in Yoast. It is coming from Yoast I can see that in the source code here <script type=”application/ld+json” class=”yoast-schema-graph”>
All of our plugins and WordPress are up to date including Yoast at 16.1. We have Event Espresso and the archived events should be excluded from the sitemap.
    Please advise. Thanks!

  • @fooey I am having the same Search Console errors on paginated pages.

    Hi @fooey!

Yes, we close tickets like https://wordpress.org/support/topic/breadcrumbs-error-in-search-console-2/ after about a week.

In a pagination archive page like what https://www.norfolksistercities.org/page/6/?page_id=0&action=evregister&event_id=54 is, we would expect Yoast to show the breadcrumb pathway.

What is odd is that the base page https://www.norfolksistercities.org/page/6/ has the right breadcrumbs on it. See image: https://ibb.co/ZHp4JjY. The data is complete, nothing is missing.

But when those parameters are added at the end, the data does not appear.

We would like some more information.

    1. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    2. Can you elaborate a bit more on how those parameters were set-up and configured? Screenshots would be helpful and the name of any plugins used in making them (if they are free plugins please provide a link to where we can find them).

You can use a tool like: https://imgbb.com/ to share the image.

    3. If you use the Yoast Helper Tool does the issue resolve? Please try the steps below:
    – i. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/yoast-test-helper/
    – ii. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    – iii. Locate the Yoast SEO section and select the “Reset indexables tables & migrations” button
    – iv. Click the “SEO Data” button in the SEO->Tools section.
    – NOTE: The SEO Data button may not appear on your staging site. If you don’t see the button or if it is not clickable you will need to adjust the environment type to Production. This guide explains more: https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/07/24/new-wp_get_environment_type-function-in-wordpress-5-5/
