Braintree to WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin switching

    Hi Support Team,

    We are using Braintree plugin on the site and we do have active subscribers. We are planning to switch from Braintree to the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin. So, my question here is:
    What will happen with the current subscribers?
    They will be renewed as expected or renewals will not work for them?

    Please assist.

    Hi @vermadililpjpr,

    PayPal Payments has a subscription migration layer to take over the subscription renewals from the previous PayPal Checkout plugin. But there is no dedicated functionality that takes into account subscriptions created by the Braintree for WooCommerce plugin. The technology used by PayPal Payments and Braintree is very similar, but I don’t think your renewals would work anymore once you disable the Braintree plugin.
    PayPal Payments likely requires a new vaulted token (a payment made with PayPal Payments) for future renewals, but we will clarify this with our partners at PayPal.
