# Braintree *descriptor* error

 * Got an error message: Unable to complete transaction. Reason: Descriptor name
   must be 22 characters or shorter and can only contain letters and numbers.

 * Are you running PayPal for WooCommerce 1.4.6.2?
 * We’ll take a look and add some validation in the settings when adding your descriptor
   to avoid that issue in the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

 * Oh, just noticed you said you’re running 1.4.4. It’s recommended you get updated
   to our latest version, 1.4.6.2. Can you do that and see if you still have troubles?
