Yes, but it can also break a lot of things in both your plugins folder and your themes folder because there are not any whitelisting options to allow things that need to be allowed or create exceptions. If you use the Sucuri wp-content .htaccess file then BPS error logging will no longer work, which is a minor thing, but several people have contacted me about many other things that no longer work after adding that /wp-content/.htaccess file.
