As for the remaking of the block, yeah I can see that being an issue. The only way around that would be is if I added the functionality as a filter to every block. I’m not sure that would be welcomed though. Maybe as an “advanced mode” or something I could enable that. What do you think?

Actually, yes! (Maybe you could add this trick to the plugin’s description on the download page.)

Maybe at least add a warning blurb, if this behavior can’t be prevented. Even if after deactivating the plugin the user needs to delete the block, knowing this beforehand it’s possible to plan in advance and have the block saved as a pattern or something.
