Bottom Widget Area Not Working

  • I am trying to install Feature a Page Widgets (I’ve also tried to feature a text widget and general other widgets like calendar, etc.) in my Bottom 1-4 widget areas. Unfortunately I am not able to view any content I place into this area. I have a static, full-width home page. Is this the only requirement for this widget area to be accessible?

    @gejay

    This is one of those things where I have a moment of “why did I do it that way?”

    At the moment, the only page template that has the bottom 1,2,3, and 4 positions is the full width template. I know, weird. You can open the full width template and see where I have this:

    <?php get_sidebar( ‘frontpage’ ); ?>

    You can add that to the other templates and the page.php file if you wish, in the same code location that you see in the full width template.

    Side note for you…I am working on a new theme that is going to replace Preference Lite and will look just like it but built a lot better with better features; and of course, solving issues like you posted here.

    Alright, that worked perfectly! Thank you. I knew there was just something small I was missing.
