Support » Plugin: Pretty Google Calendar » bottom-right Add Calendar button link

On the iframe calendar info that these fine Pretty Google Calendars replaced, there was an option to click to go to Google and add the calendar in question to your own stash of Google Calendars. Is that available somehow, or maybe it’s on a “wish list” of some sort? Once I replaced the calendars, that feature disappeared, and with this site, parents were asking to have it present so that they could add it to the other Google Calendars they manage. Thoughts?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You can accomplish this by adding the share link to your Google Calendar anywhere on the page (below the calendar perhaps). Here’s some info on sharing: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082?hl=en

Thanks @lbell — not sure I posted the issue very clearly. The original iframe content of the “old” method of showing the Google Cal had the share / add option in the lower right corner. Once I fed the calendar via Pretty GC, that icon/feature went away, and now there is only the “Powered by Pretty Google Calendar” promo. Is there a way to retain that share/add option from the iframe Google Cal, or no? From what you sent me, that seemed like instructions for getting that share/add feature on the Google Cal — not for getting it to show when Pretty GC was in effect. Or am I missing something? Thanks again.

    Howdy!

The details of sharing via a link is actually on this page which is linked from the page I shared above: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37083#zippy=%2Cshare-a-link

What I’d recommend is adding a link on your page above or below the calendar that points to your publicly shared calendar.

Or, to get the exact same link as the ugly native Google embed, go ahead and temporarily add it to a page, copy the link that Google provides, and use it for your link anywhere you like.

    Hope that helps!

    Good call(s). Thanks @lbell … I’ll give that a whirl.

    Thanks again!
