  • Resolved ctrlaltdelete

    (@ctrlaltdelete)

Hi, i want to make sure before installing if this is the right plugin for the task.
I have several Custom post types.
I want to change the current permalink:
    domain.com/cpt1/%postname%/
    to
    domain.com/cpt1/%post_id%/

And i also need it to redirect the old urls to the new ones. Preferably a 301 redirect.

And i want to know if there would be a performance hit for doing this with say 6000 posts.

    Thanks.

  • Converted all CPT and created new test ones..flawless!
Please don’t change the plugin else my site will wreck lol 😀
Thanks so much! I’ll leave a review tomorrow.

I am still adding some filters to allow the advanced users to alter the core functionalities, but I am sure that they will not affect your individual solution 🙂

That’s great, yes the functions that don’t affect this functionality you have my permission to alter (:P)

This new function (custom slugs for CPT) it’s a cool feature to have that others might put to use as well.

I don’t know why CPT are forced to use pretty permalinks…

I found that posts with ID 7 and 9 give 404.
I think this is because of the single digit url.
Might need to repost those so they get a big number as ID.
Could be more haven’t tested all.

Please reinstall the plugin again – I adjusted the code.

Perfect that solved it and another problem that a post with id “8” was being redirected to a post that contained 8 in the title. After reinstall it solved it.
