Are there any plans to include bot statistics? There seems to be great efforts made to filter them out of the regular stats, which is great, but they do represent traffic on my site that my site has to be able to handle. A stats page that showed bot traffic on a daily graph would be valuable. Or is there something I haven’t figured out yet?

The last time I ran my own site, it was ages go on PHPNuke, and it had a great stats addon that let me see which bots were doing what and when. It was one way I was able to get compensated from Google when they indexed 20,000,000 phpBB forum posts in one day.

You can enable the exclusion tracking which will let you know how many bots are excluded, as well as other types of exclusions.

Thanks for the tip. This is interesting data, but it lumps all bots together under one category. I admit the way it breaks down all the other categories is useful, it would be nice to know which bots are visiting.

Consider it a request for a future upgrade. Otherwise, the plugin is perfect, and it’s in-house generated data.

No plans to go beyond what’s there but we’ll keep it mind.
