Support » Plugin: MailChimp for WordPress » Bot signs up: what can I remove?

In the embedded form there’s this sentence:

<!– real people should not fill this in and expect good things – do not remove this or risk form bot signups–>

Does it mean you cannot remove that sentence or does it mean you should not remove the code that comes after that?

    —–

P.S.: I’m asking because with that sentence there’s too big a space between the form and sign up button

    Hey lucio7,

The sentence you shared should be hidden and not displayed on your website. Is that not happening? If this is the case, please share a link to the page where we can test the form. This field is for bots who will automatically fill details in the field.

    Thank you Harish.

I share with you the issue:

This is how the form should look like watching at the website:
    2018-03-20_1531

But this how it looks (notice also how far down below the “subscribe” button is):
    2018-03-20_1532

I need to play around with it to make it look presentable and the only way to pull that “subscribe” button up is by eliminating that anti-bot sentence.

By the way simpler forms work well, I only have issue with his more complex one.

Seems like your theme is overwriting some of our form styles, making it look different than the preview.

Do you have our Premium add-on, with styles builder? If not, it might be best to ask the provider / developer of your theme for help with this first. If they can’t help you please get back to us by posting a link to where we can test the form.

    Thanks.

OK, I will try to ask Genesis thank you Lap!

One quick question first to make sure it’s the theme: do you think it could also be cash optimizer inlining CSS and HTML?

OK, I realized the issue: a conflict between the form in the post and the sign up in a widget.

Now it looks better, but the space between fields is still there: https://www.screencast.com/t/GBFOaCHsij

I can remove it for email and name manually, but I just can’t manage to fix the one between interests and check-boxes.

    Any idea?

Here’s a page with the form in it:

    It’s about the popup?

It looks good to me now, did you manage to add your own custom css or something to fix it?
