Border images in theme

I am editing the jim feist wordpress theme. It has a line in the stylesheet for a 1px border around the entire blog (The area containted within the background). I was wondering if it is possible to tile Image A down the entire left side of the blog, And tile Image B down the entire right side of the blog. I would like to do this in place of the current 1px border. But I believe this code tells the border to cover the entire blog. I just want it on the left and right sides without bordering the top and bottom of the layout. I would post an example of my blog here, But it is adult oriented. If you want the link please let me know and I can send it over to better explain what I am talking about. Please let me know if this is possible. If possible, Please include the code to do so. Thanks in advance!
