 * Hello,
 * I’m just updating a website with a new installation of wordpress and a theme.
   I have added a simple HTML table and need the border to be invisible. I’ve seen
   some threads about setting the table ID and adding this to the .CSS but no matter
   what I seem to try it doesn’t work.
 * HTML: `<table id="table1" width="640" border="0">`
 *     ```
       CSS: #table1
       {
       border: none;
       }
       ```
 * I have two main .css files for this theme, one called: 960, and the other style.
   I’ve tried adding css lines to make this work but to no avail. What do I need
   to add?
 * What theme are you using? Without a link to your site, no way to help with questions
   like this except to suggest you make sure your CSS is valid and correct – [http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_table.asp](http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_table.asp)
 * Using the [Cleanistic](http://www.wphub.com/free-wordpress-themes/cleanistic/)
   theme.
 * Sorry about that, I didn’t realise I hadn’t given a [link](http://nobleworks.co.uk)
   to the website
 * You can see where I’ve placed a table underneath the gallery slider where the“
   About us” main content starts.
 * Cheers.
 * There’s a bunch of table borders in the theme’s CSS – a browser tool like Firebug
   will show them to you right away…
 * These forums only support themes from the repository on this site, so you may
   want to reconsider using a theme from someplace else, particularly since that
   theme does not appear to be released under the [GPL licensing](http://wordpress.org/about/license/)
   requirements of WP. This might be worth reading:
