Support » Plugin: Events Manager » Bookings not showing confirmed

Hi. Our EM is working fairly well except that recently it has stopped taking users to a confirmed page after they have submitted a booking. It does send out the emails, but just stays on the event page with no information that the process has completed.

If they refresh the page, it shows they are attending the event.

Which file contains the instructions for moving to a reservation confirmed page? Maybe we have a broken link.

    Thanks
    Don

Usually, there’s no redirect once a booking is successful, there’s only a confirmation message on the page.

I’m suspecting maybe upgrading WP or your theme may have a contributing to this.

Do you have a sample link for us to look at?

    Marcus,

Yes, I guess it is the missing confirmation message that has changed.

Here is a link to one of the pages on our system:

It looks to me like you have some custom code in there that might be changing how the plugin behaves. What’s happening is you’re getting redirected within the AJAX call that happens behind the scenes. If you enter wrong data, you’ll notice there’s an error message, which is the correct response.

I notice you also have Pro running on there, but a pretty old version… it might even be that, although I don’t ever remember it redirecting during an AJAX call.

Could you try with other plugins disabled (including Pro) and see if it helps? If so, try and re-enable a few until you figure out the one conflicting.

    Marcus,
I tried disabling all plugins without success.

Not sure if this might be part of the same issue, but cancelling a reservation takes almost 30 seconds. It seems like it used to be instantaneous or close to it.

I have also recently cleaned up the database by removing many of the old reservations.

Is there a place I can look to find out where the custom code might be that is interfering?
    Thanks

    Hi Don,

I forgot to ask, did you try switching themes temporarily as well? Maybe there’s something in there. Also, can you confirm this still happens with EM Pro disabled as well?

There’s so many points custom code could be doing this, its hard to say. I think the best thing to do is first copy your database over onto a vanilla WP installation, install EM, activate it, and try booking an event there.

R.e. the lag time, unlikely it’s related. chances are you have an email server that’s taking time to send that email. Try cancelling an email by viewing the booking, changing the status and uncheck the ‘send email’ before submitting the status change. If that works fast, then it’s an email server connection issue.
