    Hello

First let me tell you we really like this plugin. It is excellent.

Currently, we are experiencing two problems:

    1. I will get an email – sometimes – telling me there is a new booking. However, when I go to the booking tab, no bookings are displayed. This was working for over a year and stopped about a month ago after an update.

    2. People who register are not getting confirmation emails. Again, this was working. This option is enabled. I checked.

    3. I know we have at least six people booked for this Saturday morning for a seminar, however, when I go to the bookings page and query for future events – using either confirmed or needs attention – I get zero records.

This is very embarrassing as you can imagine. This past weekend we assumed we had no students and five showed. We had to give away five seminars.

  • Hi,

Have you confirmed that the bookings aren’t listed under All?

Which payment gateway are you using?

Which version of Events Manager and WordPress are you using? Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me quickly. I really appreciate it.

    We are using WordPress 4.1.

We do not use a payment gateway. All the seminars on this site are prepaid through LivingSocial, Groupon, and other sites. Students present a voucher from the site where they purchased a seminar when the arrive for the seminar.

    hi,

sorry for the confusion but are you using free events/tickets?

    Essentially, we are.

If you are unfamiliar with Groupon or LivingSocial, they are like Ticket Master or any other service where people buy tickets to an event on line. We just collect the pre-paid ticket when they arrive.

Can you explain how you’re connecting Events Manager with payments made on LivingSocial, etc.? That’s the bit I’m not following at the moment. Thanks.

    Sure.

    1. LivingSocial advertises a seminar. People buy a ticket/voucher directly from them.

    2. People who purchase tickets are given a link to http://seminars.nyghtfalcon.com where they register for a seminar.

    3. If they have taken a seminar from us, they login and then select the seminar they want.

    4. If they haven’t taken a seminar, when they register we get their email address and name. We generate a password for them and mail confirmation of their booking and a password to them.

    5. When they show up for the seminar, we collect the ticket/voucher.

    Does this help?

So users book an event but don’t pay for it (at least on your site)?

    Correct.

this works for me however in your bookings summary can you try to filter scope by ‘All events’ and ‘All’ ?

    (@nyghtfalcon)

I did. No results are returned.

Are you able to make a test booking yourself?

    Thread Starter nyghtfalcon

    (@nyghtfalcon)

I can. If I login first.

This is what I have discovered:

    1. As long as the user is already in the database, everything works fine.

    2. I registered using an email address not in the database and this is what happens:
    a. The user is created and added to the user database
    b. No event booking is being created.

Do you have No-User Booking Mode activated?

    Sorry, I have been traveling.

These are the options I have set:
    Allow Guest Booking: Yes
    Approval Required: Yes
    Reserved Unconfirmed: Yes

I checked each event to make sure bookings are enabled and they are.

    Now, I just tried this:

    1. I have a test user I use to test the system. I booked an event when that user was already in the database. That worked as expected.

    2. I deleted the test user, opened a new browser session and attempted to book an event as that user. I enter the information, including a comment, then click on Submit Booking. I get the progress bar, then nothing. If I click on Submit Booking again I get an error message that that user is already in the database……..
