I’d also like to give registered users their own “book list” feature where they can add books they own/read or would like to read, and be alerted when a review is added to the site (specific criteria/taxonomy match) or that book is listed for sale or trade.

Can this booklist feature with content alerts be supported with Recencio?

    Thanks

    Hello @mungbean

Those features you’ve described would be way outside the scope of what the Recencio plugin is. What you are describing would be its own plugin and it would be more of a “book club” plugin.

I was already working on a “book collection” plugin but its scope is more narrower than what you have in mind.

You can see it here https://recencio.com/review/a-review-of-blackwing-by-ed-mcdonald/

It is the red button that pops up on scroll.

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, in the link you provided, it didn’t appear to show the red button.

Your book collection feature sounds very promising. I assume it would allow registered users to add the books they have or are interested in, and allow them to subscribe or get notifications when other users have added/reviewed/commented on the book?

What is your plan and ETA for the book collection plugin?
