Bold text shows in a different colour

Hi, I’m a newbie to wordpress.org (just switched over from wordpress.com) and all my bold text – regardless of if it’s an old or new article – shows in black font. The problem is the rest of the font is purple and that’s what the bold font should be as well (I thought). How do I change the bold colour to be the same as the regular text colour.
