  • Quite honestly, music that starts the minute a page loads is a guaranteed way to make people hate your site.

It’s a bad design decision. Don’t do it.

thanks for your answer, but in this case I think people will smile not hate, because the song is “when i´m 64” and we all are between 65 and 75, so pure selfironic.
but I think I got a good way to make an extra post, call it intro and keep it up.

I have to strongly agree with TxFig that auto-playing music on a website is a bad practice that disrespects your users and will likely anger more people than anything else, causing them to immediately close their browser tab. Folks who are at work, have a sleeping baby or spouse next to them, have headphones on already listening to music, etc. It’s just not a good practice. 🙂

It can be done, but it’s not a theme issue, so you might want to look for a plugin that might achieve that, or post in the general How-to forum.

    hi kathryn,
I agree with you and txfig in the case of busines- or similar sites. But did you read my answer? Though this blog is public it is more like an diary of old men about their tours/sightseeings in neighbourhoods.
So we don´t expect “sleeping babies” or “people at work”.
As i wrote I found a (compromise) solution, but, beg your pardon, I asked for help not for a wagging finger (e.g. “disrespect”).
So, if you or anybody else is willing to help – thanks, if not – thanks too.
