Also note that the MediaElement.js Media Player works just fine.
What devices/browsers are you seeing the issue with the media player being cut off? I looked at your site just now using Safari on my iMac and the player wasn’t cut off.
The issue is on mobile devices. The problem persists on both Safari and Google chrome.
The team did some testing with your website on different devices and found that the problem only occurs with iOS devices. Android devices and desktop computers aren’t affected.
I know you said the problem doesn’t happen with the MediaElement player. But typically, problems like this are caused by your WordPress theme. An easy way to test is to briefly switch to one of the stock WordPress themes, such as 2011, 2017, etc. and see if the how the player displays after the switch. If it displays correctly, then the problem is with the theme, and you should contact the theme developer for help.
The dev team is working on adding a manual player width adjustment setting so there’s an option for situations like yours. But there’s no ETA yet as to when that’ll be available.
Hello @bryanmhenry,
Are you still having a problem? We went back on our iPhones and iPads to your site and do not see the player issue. We suspect you found a way to solve the issue on your end?
Thanks,
Angelo
Hi Angelo, my issue persists.
What browser and page are you looking at on your end? I’d like to test it.
On my IOS device, I am still seeing the issue. Kindly mark this thread unresolved again, so it stays open for a solution.
I looked at your site on my brand new iPhone XS Max, using the latest version of iOS and Mobile Safari, and I’m still seeing the issue with the media player overhanging the side of the page.
Did you try the theme-switch test mentioned above to see if the problem remains after switching to a default theme?
Hello @bryanmhenry,
Just following up if using a stock theme like twentynineteen also has the issue with the player?
Can you give specifics what type of phone you have and what version of the OS and Safari you are using?
Thanks,
Angelo
