Blogroll Widget showing latest posts with respective featured images

I have searched my heart out but to no avail so far:

I d like to display my blogroll with the featured image of the latest article of the blog I am linking to. Also, of course, I d like to show an exerpt of the latest post (which most plugins can provide).

WordPress blogroll plugins seem to only be able to display favicons or gravatar pics and such but will not fetch the latest post image from the pages linked to.

Blogpost plugins do not have any problem with that. So as to show you what I am looking for, here is an example: Look at the blogroll widget showing pictures of latest articles and exerpts… http://natfka.blogspot.de/

Any idea? I am using mimbo theme with timthumb
