Blogroll, Catagories, And Links

I would like to have a page that displays my entire blogroll, ie. all links that are visible. In my sidebar I’d like to only display links from certain categories.

However, any links widget I’ve added to my sidebar displays ALL categories with visible links, no matter what I do. I’ve tried the WP links widget, Breukie’s links widget, and Morgan’s Replacement Links Widget 0.3. I’ve tried specifying the category ID, even selecting single category. Still every visible link displays. Morgan’s has a drop-down list mode that works and only displays the category I specify, but I don’t want a drop-down.

What is going on here? Any help is sincerely appreciated.
