BlogLogic.net My consulting site

  • I put this one together myself from scratch (more or less). The template is the way I want it to look, but I still want to rearrange the code a bit so it validates. It’s a business site so you’ve been warned 😉 http://BlogLogic.net

Erm…. you may want to bring your XHTML up to code. On Firefox, your posts are displaying as part of your side bar. Makes for a very looong and narrow read.

Hi macmanx, the site looks fine in Firefox 1.0 and IE6 on my Win XP box…

I just made a few changes to the contact form tags which I couldn’t see as causing a display problem. I know the XHTML code is not up to spec. Q: Are you on a MAC? If so, please let me know. It means I have to do some CSS hacking to fix the display quirks.

    Thanks for the heads-up

Hi, my advice on your design is that you could change your logo file format (bloe-logo2.jpg) from JPG to GIF.

Right now it has some “blur” effect around it due to the jpg compression.
You can avoid that using GIF format.
And your file size won’t be bigger, as a matter of fact it mught even be smaller if you know how to force 16 colors only for instance.

    Hope that helps.

    Jose

I agree, that logo is a perfect candidate for the gif format. You could actually reduce it to 5 colors, or if you want to preserve crisp anti-aliasing, 8 colors may do it, though 10-16 might be safer. Do some tests; save some space. 🙂
