Support » Themes and Templates » Blogger Template to WordPress

  • I started using WordPress. No themes suited my taste and I found it impossible to customise them. So I swtiched to Blogger, I have the template I want, but I found out that I need the abilities of WordPress (like adding Pages etc).

Is there anyway to make my Blogger template my WordPress Theme?

Ok I’m very new and stupid with this – does WordPress do it for me automatically (if I were to ‘Import -> Blogger’ or does it have to be done in an elaborate way?

Nope. It’s your hands. It’s a craft. It’s a profession: it is called web design.

You must first understand the fundamentals. The blogger template is a single file. The rest is not in your hands. WP is a lot more than that. It uses a “theme” which encompasses many other aspects and is a bouquet of files.

Please go through the Readme.html file and the Codex Wiki.
