Support » Fixing WordPress » Blogger import not working

  • I had previously imported my blog from BlogSpot(Blogger) with no problem. However, I’ve been a bit remiss in keeping the WordPress blog synced. After updating WordPress and all the plugins, including Blogger Import, I went to the importer. I had a choice to authorize or clear existing info and then re-authorize. I tried to authorize but nothing happened. So I cleared the existing info. It brought me to sign in to Blogger and grant access to WordPress, which I did. I was then jumped back to my WordPress Google Analytics configuration???? Okay, not exactly what I was hoping for.

So I went to the importer again. My only choice this time was authorize. Did that again, granted access, got sent back to my Google Analytics Configuration.

    I need help please!?!?

See the blogger forums How to Authorize WordPress to access Blogger? – Google Groups and other linked answers.

Didn’t work even though the domain and everything else is authorized. <sigh>

I’ve seen this before. Are you using a subdomain?

Not exactly for Blogger, but this – just the google site registration part – has worked for me.

Not sure what a subdomain is but I don’t think so. I use and as I said, I’ve synced my blog before but not for a couple of years. I really want to start working on the WordPress blog but don’t want to lose what’s on Blogspot.

I even checked Google for the authorizing applications and sites. is listed. But every time I go to try to import the blog, I just get shot back over to WordPress’ Google Analytics Configuration.

    Still looking for help. Anyone?
