    Hello,

    I put in a brand new install of wordpress yesterday. And currently, I am trying to import all of the posts from a rather large blogger blog. The problem is, it seems to take forever to import and I only get 1 comment and 1 post. After I set the authors and check on it, none of the posts come over and I get 1 empty anonymous comment.

    I know that the solution would be to created a wordpress.com blog and import posts from blogger to there and then from wordpress.com to the self-hosted version, but there are issues there currently as well because the blogger import on wordpress.com is currently not working for a lot of people.

    This blog is rather large and so I really feel up a creek right now.

    Any advice would be great!

    Nevermind. schmidt00 answered my question with his fix:

    “I played around in the wordpress code and changed $parser = xml_parser_create_ns(); to $parser = xml_parser_create(); around line 920 in blogger.php

    Not sure if that helps the wordpress people make an official solution, but it is allowing me to import again.”

    I used this. It imports all my comments but still ignores all the posts. Dammit.

    I am having a similar problem in that 500-something of 800-something posts get imported, but 300-or so are lost.

    My comments are not blogger comments but a separate comment script (since I have been blogging since 2002 before blogger offered comment scripts).

    If I get this figured out I can come back and post what worked — IF you or someone else has been through this and got it to work please say something?
