The blog URL used by Jetpack is “shiftphiladelphia.com/2013” which is where our new wordpress site is installed. However the site URL used for the site is “shiftphiladelphia.com” but that’s not updating when people try to subscribe, it’s still using the URL with the subdirectory. How can we make jetpack use the site URL and not the wordpress url?

As far as I can tell everything else is working fine, just subscriptions and current subscribers aren’t being notified of new emails. My only clue is when I tried to subscribe to my site, the blog URL in the confirmation email was as listed in the first paragraph.

    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Clint

Could you check your WordPress and Site address under Settings > General in your dashboard?

Some of the elements on your site still mention “shift-2013”, like the XML-RPC file used by Jetpack to communicate with WordPress.com:

    Thanks for responding Jeremy!

    The WordPress URL is http://shiftphiladelphia.com/shift-2013
    the Site URL is http://shiftphiladelphia.com

The original site was in the root, then it was rebuilt into /shift-2013, and then I copied the htaccess, index.php, and moved wp-config to the root in order to use just the domain.

But during development in the subfolder, Jetpack was connected. After we switched the site URL though, Jetpack is still using the url with the sub folder. Not sure what to do now.

By the way, I just moved all of the old site files out of the root, just in case.

Your Subscriptions seem to be working properly: I just successfully subscribed to your site, and I’ll let you know as soon as I receive a notification email about your latest post.

If you have received reports that notification emails were not sent, could you send me a few examples of the email addresses that didn’t receive any email? You can send them to me vai this contact form:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

The confirmation email, however, indeed contains a link to http://shiftphiladelphia.com/shift-2013 . That’s a bug within Jetpack, and we’ll work on fixing it as soon as possible.

    Thanks for the report!
